Welcome to the new age, to the new age! No, we’re not radioactive, we’re ushering in a new format for Inside the Locker. We realized that as members of that rare breed of geek/sports fan hybrids, most of our off-air conversations about sports take place while we’re doing something else: drinking, barbeque chowing, or playing board games.
Hence, the new format. From now on, we’ll be playing games of our own invention every episode and talking about sports in the process! This week, we bring back March Movie Madness (our patented IMDB synopsis game) and allow for natural segues to the big stories of the week! We also get another visit from our Corner Man and end the show with one of our world famous roundtable discussions inspired by Mike Trout’s phenomenal first at bat of the season.

IMD-BO!
Formerly called March Movie Madness, our unique movie trivia game utilizes IMDB synopses of gradually decreasing length. This time, we confined our choices to sports movies and each round spun off into discussions on everything from Duke winning the NCAAM championship, Chris Copeland’s stabbing, and a very unusual phallic compliment paid to one NBA player by another. Can you guess the movies from their loglines before we do?
Corner Man
Vince rejoins us to chat about the build up to McGreggor/Aldo bout, Carla Esparza v. Joanna Jedrzejczyk, and Roy Nelson v. Alistair Overeem (who is apparently NOT an Auror working for The Ministry of Magic).
Director Walk-Offs!
Inspired by Mike Trout drilling a home run in his very first bat of the 2015 MLB season, we engage in one of our world famous roundtable discussions about directors who similarly knocked one out of the park with their first “at bat.” Some of them never made another film (a true walk off) and some of them unfortunately struck out A LOT after that initial home run.
