The Original Gentlemen Season 2 Ep 1: Reintroducing the…

16 Submitted by on Wed, 28 January 2015, 10:01

We’re back from our break between seasons (yes, that’s what I’m calling it, go with me on this one) with a freshly invigorated group of gentlemen ready to take on the world!

Or at least, to take on your questions. Martin, Chris and Beau go through a giant heap of your concerns and queries that will likely both delight and enrage. Much is said about comics and all things geeky, as is our wont.

So tune in for the first of a new regular second season of THEOG promising many familiar faces, the occasional reverting to old and beloved formats, and much more.

Enjoy the return of the Gentlemen, as this one is for everybody! But after this, I’m afraid you’ll need to be a subscriber to hear future episodes, at the Brown Coat level or above. We hope you’ll join us for what is sure to be a pretty fantastic bi-weekly second go-round.

Shows Empty Space

Born in the wilds of northern Virginia, in 1992 Chris managed to put all of his survival skills to use and barely escaped with his life to Austin Texas, where ever since he’s dabbled in everything from plumber’s assistant to sandwich maker, from band to bar management. An opportunity to see theatrical release films for free, by becoming a critic on a local public access show called “The Reel Deal”, turned into a full time job when Chris and his friends decided to take it to the internet. They built the site, adding multiple podcasts and animated features, to no small amount of success. During this time, a fortuitous friendship sprung up between Chris and young Brian Salisbury, who was also a local film critic, and they merged their forces of will, and their laundry list of ideas for shows, to eventually build this paradise you see before you.

Hey everyone! DisQus updated and disabled itself. When we relaunched it, it deleted all your comments. Sorry about that, stupid computers! Just wanted you to know your comments were not deliberately removed. Cheers!

To be specific: All the comments that were posted between DisQus being disabled & the relaunch are now deleted. All other comments before are still in their respective threads.

I can’t stand Gotham. There’s too much awful; particularly with the female characters. The show is too unfocused and can’t stand on what it wants to be. Even Arrow has been rather underwhelming this season. The Flash is still awesome though. In terms of comics, you guys should read the new Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel book. That stuff is AMAZING!! In Image, it’s mostly good to awesome, but in particular Kelly Sue Deconnick’s stuff like Bitch Planet (and of course her Capt. Marvel stuff as well). I am a subscriber, but I haven’t really made use of the privileges yet. I think I’d better start.

Even if I wasn’t already a subscriber I would become one just for this show. Glad to have you back, gentlemen!

Are you telling me that I’ll have to up my current $2 subscription a few more bucks in order to get this show alongside some other added incentives? OMG CHRIS YOU GREEDY BASTARD, YOU ARE KILLING THIS SITE, HOW DARE YOU, HARUMPHARUMPHRUMPH

…in other words, I’m more than happy to upgrade to brown coat and I’m glad to hear the O.G. back in action. To think I didn’t take the time to listen to you guys on Spill, but hope I’m making up for it now!

Oh shit. I wanted to hear Martin talk more comic books on Double Toasted.
Now he is in a podcast all about comics?
    Sweet baby jesusss!!!
