The Digital Noise Boys are back and they’re starting of the year with a bunch of horror movie home releases. They’re nothing if not unconventional, these guys!  In addition to reviews of these scary movies, the giveaway in this episode is one of the best movies to come out last year, so you’ll definitely want to find out how you can win this one for yourself! All this goodness is packed into one podcast, so you’ll not want to miss it!

10 Noteworthy Film Moments of 2013

Mr. Thomas Mariani, a member of the INTERN-Net gang, sought to encapsulate the year in film, but he was not content to do a simple best of or worst of list. Instead, he wrote a list of the most humorous, disturbing, moving, or otherwise noteworthy events that occurred on screen in 2013. His selections span genres and quality, which resulted in a pretty diverse and entertaining read. Give it a look and feel free to keep the discussion going in the comments!

Ash & Fern – Battlestar Galactica: The Obvious Choice

Ash & Fern 371

One of Fern’s New Year’s resolutions is to get Ash to watch a TV series she hasn’t seen before. As a passionate fan of the revered science-fiction series Battlestar Galactica, Fern has decided to introduce her comrade to it. This post is all about why Ash (as well as anyone else who hasn’t watched the show yet) should get invested in “73 episodes of awesome.” If you’ve been on the fence about watching Battlestar Galactica or even if you’re not remotely interested in it, Fern’s list highlights some of the best parts of the show, so give it look and find out if she can convince you to start watching it.

Happy Birthday, Nicolas Cage! 6 Roles We Wish You Played

Nicolas Cage, one of the most…interesting…actors of our time, turned 50 this week. There are so many ways to mark the occasion: running around your neighborhood in a bear suit, loudly proclaiming that you’re a vampire in public, and watching Con Air for 24 hours are all acceptable means of celebrating. However, the INTERN-Net’s Angelo Elauria decided to look to what could of/should of been. He describes six roles that could have been amazing if Nic Cage was the one cast to portray them, and somehow he manages to avoid the Superman casting that Cage nearly secured. Angelo’s picks are certainly thought-provoking and hilarious so check them out and add your own ideas in the comments!

Inside The Locker: 2014 BCS Championship Commentary

Things were going swimmingly at the start of Inside The Locker’s live commentary of the 2014 Bowl Championship Series National Championship Game. Brian, Elliott, J.C. and Adam were having a great time with their guest Andrew, spirits were high, and all seemed right with the world. However, technology failed them right as Florida State began its comeback against Auburn. Even in the face of such adversity, the locker rats decided to record their thoughts about the game in a post-bowl conversation. So what if half of the podcast is live and the other isn’t? It’s still a great time with your favorite sports commentators, so enjoy it in spite of the technological hiccup!

Well, that ought to get you through the weekend! Be sure to check out the new forums we put up and post your thoughts about our shows, articles, and anything else you want to discuss with other members of the site! Have a great weekend!
