Here at One of Us, we are huge fans of pop artist Zach Martin. You might have heard Brian Salisbury’s interview with him, during which he discussed his work for Austin’s own Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy and how it led to securing George Takei himself as a client. Since then, Zach has found great success in his career and developed quite a following among geeks and other individuals across the web. Several of the items in his portfolio reflect his passions for film, gaming, television, and other media outlets. Needless to say, Zach is One of Us through and through, as well as an incredibly talented individual.

Recently, Zach added another work of art that deserves some recognition here on the site. By his own admission, he is a huge fan of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. He was even fortunate enough to meet them several years ago. Zach’s reverence for these two actors inspired him to create a piece in honor of the Cornetto Trilogy, the duo’s three films with director Edgar Wright. As you might have guessed, the result is an excellent tribute to these amazing movies. Check out Zach’s depiction of Pegg and Frost’s characters in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End in the piece “Best Friends Forever” down below:

Zach states his intention to add “blood, dirt, and robot goo” to this or an alternate version should he make it to a big convention in the near future. I certainly want to see the result of those modifications, so here’s to Zach’s continued sucess. Head on over to his website to view his portfolio, his webcomic, and learn more about this remarkable artist. While you’re at it, follow him on Facebook to find out what he’s up to in the future.
