One Last ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Trailer Heats Things Up

I loved the first Hunger Games and I am pretty stoked about the upcoming release of Catching Fire. The latest trailer for the film has a number of really cool glimpses into what’s in store for fans. Those who have read the books will be treated to quite a few memorable moments from the series as it seems to me that director Francis Lawrence has taken the world Gary Ross set up in the first and brought it to life in a much more vibrant and exciting way.

Having not seen Catching Fire as of yet, I’m only speculating, plus I actually think Ross did a pretty great job with the original, but with the trailers that have been released it simply looks as though Lawrence really upped his game for this blockbuster release. I was incredibly disappointed by I Am Legend, a film with beautiful cinematography with all the breathtaking ruined landscapes, but really dropped the ball with the horrible CGI creatures throughout the film- the same can be said for the CGI in Constantine.

The final trailer here really sets the stage for what will likely be one of the year’s biggest releases- especially since it will be out around the holiday season. The trailer features quite a bit of action and mostly no dialogue outside of a voice over by Donald Sutherland as the series’ main villain President Snow. The special effects look like a big step up from Ross’ film- which I felt was the film’s biggest hindrance- and the arena this time around looks to have a whole lot more excitement abound. Look forward to seeing the final product come November 22nd. Check out the trailer below!
