Born in the wilds of northern Virginia, in 1992 Chris managed to put all of his survival skills to use and barely escaped with his life to Austin Texas, where ever since he’s dabbled in everything from plumber’s assistant to sandwich maker, from band to bar management. An opportunity to see theatrical release films for free, by becoming a critic on a local public access show called “The Reel Deal”, turned into a full time job when Chris and his friends decided to take it to the internet. They built the site Spill.com, adding multiple podcasts and animated features, to no small amount of success. During this time, a fortuitous friendship sprung up between Chris and young Brian Salisbury, who was also a local film critic, and they merged their forces of will, and their laundry list of ideas for shows, to eventually build this paradise you see before you.

there is a frontline documentary on this very subject with the real bennet omalu that sounds better than this movie.

The NFL now has rules against direct helmet contact. Players are being suspended from entire games and there are independent Doctors implementing Concussons protocols on the sidelines. If your a NFL fan, then you have seen how the game has changed in the way it’s played. A billion dollar lawsuit from past players will do that to an organization.

    Sarah you sound concussed.

True, however only a small about of helmet-to-helmet contact is the result of direct helmet contact. Most is caused by helmets hitting the shoulder pads then rebounding to make helmet-to-helmet contact, and in that case there is no penalty it’s just looked at as part of the game.

Concussions still continue to be a very serious issue and the NFL cares so much about getting to the bottom of it that just days ago they vetoed funds for concussion research. That’s right, they care “so much” about their players that they said “fuck giving money towards solving this problem.” The reality is the NFL hasn’t come a long war towards addressing this issue they just passed a meager rule saying “direct helmet-to-helmet contact is now wrong” to legally cover their asses. The NFL basically just pulled a tobacco company tactic; they put a warning on the box, so now they are absolved of all legal liability. And just like the tobacco company they aren’t putting any money into solving the negative health impacts they are the cause of because they don’t really care, they just want the lawsuits to stop, so they can keep being rich.

I disagree with the crew on this one. I really enjoyed it and thought will smith was great as well. 9 woodpeckers out of 10

Well, if you had shown up for the recording like you said you would, you could have disagreed with us on mic. :p

I played Rugby for three years, didn’t suit me at all since I was completely the wrong build for it. 😀 Still, I’m a big fan of the sport. I unfortunately have no knowledge of the NFL at all, so….. yeah.
